A Bathing Ape

Founded in 1993 by Nigo as one of Japan's original streetwear brands, A Bathing Ape (BAPE for short) is celebrated for their bold designs and humorous prints, with some taking influence from the film franchise, Planet of The Apes. Like most of the Japanese streetwear icons, A Bathing Ape's roots can be traced back to the ura-Harajuku scene of the early '90s; a time heavily influenced by American fashion and culture.
